This handsome, large-format book presents the relationship between comics and advertising, from 1900 to the present day, and is packed with previously unpublished information. In its pages, you'll find all the authors in the gallery: Enki Bilal, Miles Hyman, Tardi, Juillard, Loustal, Schuiten... and many other big names in comics and illustration!
"When Alain Lachartre asked me to use one of my previous advertising campaigns as a special edition in his book OBJECTIF PUB, he had no idea what would happen next, and neither did I. The opportunity was too good to pass up. The opportunity was too good, so I changed everything and redid the Renault 5 campaign in an electric version in the format of the book.
But that’s not all: the small print (25×34 cm) has been enlarged and transformed into a larger format (60×80 cm), published by Galerie Collin in a limited edition of 8 copies and numbered copies . Comparing the two formats is more than just a game of “Spot the Seven Differences”—a lot has changed. That’s only natural—the same scene can never happen twice in the same place.”
